From coast to coast Adena Atkins brings her singular artistry to song. A recipe for her music might read like this: begin with lyrics that could double as poetry, flesh them out in wildly imaginative arrangements, and channel them through a keystone soprano. The result is as both distinctive and essential.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, this California native has also studied with author Natalie Goldberg and at the California Institute of the Arts. Atkins is a recipient of the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts' merit award. Within a year of moving to Seattle, Atkins released her solo debut The Slowest Curve, a seasonal song cycle which has received glowing reviews. As of this writing, she's hard at work creating a full length album with industry veteran Angel Angelov.

Adena Atkins' debut The Slowest Curve is a seasonal song cycle set in the morning in front of a window. It "...blurs the line between poetry and pop song, with a touch of impressionism and a lot of attention to details.” ~ Andrea Caccesse, I Still Sing AlongBuy on iTunes Buy on Amazon Buy on CD Baby
